Considering prenatal yoga? Good for you! Prenatal yoga may also help you prepare for labor and promote your baby's health! Much like other types of childbirth-preparation classes, prenatal yoga is a multifaceted approach to exercise that encourages stretching, mental centering and focused breathing. Research suggests that prenatal yoga is safe and can have many benefits for pregnant women and their babies.
My classes are always varied and never boring.

Mother & Baby yoga classes allow you to socialise with other mums, tone your pelvic floor muscle and abs and do gentle postnatal yoga. Baby yoga is a healthy, fun and exciting session for both mum and baby. Yoga creates a special bond between you and your baby. Mother's touch has a therapeutic effect on baby's emotional development, especially on a baby's first year of life. Yoga promotes the development of baby's gross and motor skills, improves baby's nap time, helps with baby's digestive activity, prevents gas and colic. Baby yoga can give you better rest, increased flexibility and a happy baby!
Chronic illness often leads over time to more symptoms and loss of physical functioning. Many people assume that the symptoms they are experiencing are due to only one cause: the disease. While a disease can certainly cause pain, shortness of breath, fatigue and so on, it is not the only cause. Each symptom can by itself contribute to other symptoms, and all of them together can make each single one worse. Symptoms can feed on each other. For example, depression causes fatigue, stress causes tense muscles, leading to more pain or shortness of breath, and so on. The interactions of these symptoms, in turn, make the condition worse. It can become a vicious cycle that deteriorates unless the cycle is broken. One way of breaking the cycle and solving the problems of physical and emotional helplessness which can result from chronic illness is definitely Yoga. Yoga might help with a variety of health conditions, such as diabetes, thyroid disfunction, depression, high/low blood pressure, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, ME, anxiety and insomnia. Learning and practicing Asanas (postures) and Pranayamas (breathing exercises) at your own pace is the most effective way to realize the benefits of yoga. You’ll leave my classes feeling calmer, invigorated and more flexible. Any injuries or illnesses that you may have will be taken into consideration before the practice.
